Portal Game World – As MPL ID Season 14 heads into its final day of the second week, six Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports teams are set to compete today, Sunday (August 18, 2024). Today’s MPL ID matchups feature Dewa United Esports facing off against Bigetron Alpha (Version 2.0). A team that remains undefeated this season.
With Luke (formerly from Geek Fam) bolstering their roster, Bigetron Alpha continues to lead the MPL ID standings, followed by RRQ Hoshi and Dewa United Esports in second and third place, respectively. Dewa United Esports has shown impressive performance this season, with seasoned players like Watt, Xorizo, and Hijume.
However, given Bigetron Alpha’s previous performances, they won’t be easily overcome by experience alone. For instance, Luke and his team have recently defeated Team Liquid ID, which includes the Filipino player Yawi. Additionally, the red robots managed to leave RRQ Hoshi struggling with a 2-1 scoreline.
Before diving into today’s four matches, here’s the complete MPL ID S14 schedule:
The Alter Ego vs Fnatic Onic match will be the day’s highlight, as Alter Ego recently suffered a loss to RRQ Hoshi in their first Royal Derby encounter last night. Alter Ego appears to be struggling to find their best form, especially without their aggressive jungler Tazz this season. It will be interesting to see how Alter Ego rebounds. And what performance Kiboy and his team will deliver in MPL ID S14 today.

Finally, the matchup between Team Liquid ID and Rebellion Esports features two teams currently at the bottom of the standings. Early in the season, Team Liquid ID struggled to find their rhythm, suffering two losses in Week 1 against Fnatic Onic and Bigetron Alpha. They finally secured a win by defeating Evos Glory on the first day of Week 2.
Rebellion, known as the Blue Bulls, also showcased their best gameplay. Which team will emerge victorious in this match?
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced the launch of the Olympic Esports Games, marking a significant step in integrating esports into the Olympic world. The inaugural Olympic Esports Games are scheduled to take place in 2025 in Saudi Arabia.
“This is truly a new era for the IOC,” said IOC President Thomas Bach, as quoted by CNET on Friday (July 26, 2024).
